Shelly Fuller

Conservation Ecology

Shelly has an MSc in Conservation Ecology and been working in the environmental field for over 15 years in the private and NGO sectors.

Her passion is getting her hands dirty with projects that make a difference on the ground which have ranged from ecological restoration, supply chain sustainability, regenerative agriculture, and climate change mitigation. Having joined WWF SA in 2014 she has been heading up the Conservation Champions team which recognizes and supports the environmental leaders in the wine industry, as well as setting up a number of collaborative retailer partnerships within the fruit-producing areas of the Western Cape.

She is very passionate about the work she is involved in at WWF because she believes in the vital role that farmers can play in effectively mitigating climate change as well as conserving the critical ecosystem functions that our society depends upon. When not behind her computer, Shelly enjoys getting in nature with her family and sharing meals with friends over a bottle of Conservation Champion wine.
