Annebelle is an executive with a diverse background in leadership, marketing, and the arts. Currently serving as the Managing Director of Spier Wine Farm Hospitality, she is pivotal in overseeing all operational aspects while continually innovating and developing new guest experiences. Spier Wine Farm is a multi-faceted destination with an eighty-room hotel, diverse dining options, retail outlets, and versatile meeting spaces.

Annebelle’s journey with Spier began in 2001 when she assumed the role of Festival Director for the annual Spier Arts Festival, a four-month celebration of arts and culture. She joined the executive team in 2009. She has been instrumental in transforming the organisation into a force for change with social programs, ethical production, and thought leadership. Spier has become a champion of creativity and a catalyst for positive change.

Prior to her current role, Annebelle served as the Marketing Director at Spier, where she spearheaded international branding and marketing strategies for both Spier Wines and the Spier Hospitality businesses. She was instrumental in the success of multi-tiered marketing campaigns, and she played a key role in forging strong international partnerships in critical markets, including South Africa, Denmark, the USA, and the UK.

Annebelle’s early experiences in the media industry started at the age of 12, when she was chosen as one of South Africa’s first child presenters and co-hosted “Zapmag,” a popular children’s magazine program, from 1986 to 1994. This early foray into the world of media production greatly influenced her creative approach to leadership and marketing.

Annebelle resides in Cape Town, where she shares her life with artist John Murray and their two sons.
