Financial Director, SASA and Co-founder, winelab.Africa and Wine Talk

Andrew Shelly (DipWSET) is a certified WSET Wine and Spirits educator, Financial Director of the South African Sommeliers Association (SASA) and a Certified Sommelier with the Court of Master Sommeliers. 

He is a co-founder of winelab.Africa and Wine Talk, the Gauteng-based, game-changing wine industry think tank.

With a background spanning hospitality, communications, marketing and education, Andrew works across both the professional and consumer sides of the wine industry. 

His focus is on expanding access to the globally recognised WSET qualifications across Africa with an emphasis on diversity and inclusion, while supporting the development of sommelier standards and industry professionalism through his work with SASA.
