Lana Carls is a tourism professional at Wesgro, the official tourism, trade and investment promotion agency for Cape Town and the Western Cape. She currently serves as Senior Portfolio Manager: Tourism within in the tourism unit; with a focus on emerging markets, where she drives strategic initiatives to grow destination awareness, market access, and tourism partnerships across priority international markets.

With close to a decade of experience in destination tourism promotion, her work spans stakeholder engagement, visitor experience development and promotion within wine tourism, gastronomy, and cultural tourism, contributing to the positioning of the Western Cape as a globally competitive destination.
